The Indigenous Tourism Corridor
Whitecap Dakota First Nation, Wanuskewin Heritage Park, and Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation have seen the value in working together to develop a larger packaged experience featuring their developing tourism experiences. This partnership forms a natural Indigenous Tourism Corridor connected by the prairie, the river, and the highways. All three properties will feature interpretive experiences and travel trade infrastructure between the destinations is being developed. These experiences will be packaged for international export markets and create new economic opportunities for the partner communities.
Glyph Creative has been a driving force behind the development of this vision and is currently engaged in the development of community training and marketing strategies to support this incredible project. The project consists of multiple components, community engagement, cultural and market research, community-based training and education, capital development, marketing strategies, land use and business planning.
To date, the project has received over 1 million in financial and in-kind support and work has begun on lodge and trail development.
Red Pheasant Cree Nation Racetrack and Cultural Connector
Red Pheasant Cree Nation is developing a parcel of land to showcase their unique culture and history in sport and the arts with an emphasis on their connection to the horse through the development of a high-end racetrack and equestrian facility. Glyph Creative is assisting the nation by developing a strategy to identify best practice land uses and link them to experiential focused tourism development opportunities that align with market trends.
